Thus, it is crucial for providers to be able to distinguish normal versus abnormal findings of both the urinary tract and kidneys, evaluate abnormalities, and treat disease.

An evaluative research approach with quasi experimental one group pre-test post-test design was used for the study. Total 60 antenatal mother were selected as sample for study by using Non probability convenient sampling technique. Inform consent was taken from antenatal mothers. Pre-test was conducted by using structured knowledge questionnaires & the same day Information Booklet was also administered. After 7 days post test was conducted to assess the gained in knowledge using the same structured knowledge questionnaire to assess post-test knowledge of antenatal mother. The descriptive as well as inferential statistics was used.

Result of the study was showed that, there has been increased in knowledge of antenatal mothers after administration of Information Booklet. The calculated 't' value that is 18.85 At 59 degree of freedom was much higher than the tabulated value at 0.05 level of significance that is 1.98. Chi square test was conducted to see the association of posttest knowledge score regarding Urinary Tract Infection and its prevention. There was no significant association of post – test knowledge score with demographic variables. Hence, it is lastly concluded the Information Booklet is effective in improving knowledge of antenatal mother regarding urinary tract infection and its prevention in selected area.
