Abstract

Fluoride is one of the very few chemicals that has been shown to cause significant effects in people through drinking-water. Fluoride has beneficial effects on teeth at low concentrations in drinking-water, but excessive exposure to fluoride in drinking-water, or in combination with exposure to fluoride from other sources, can give rise to a number of adverse effects.The pre-experimental study concludes that there is a significant different between the pre-test and post-test knowledge level among poddar skill centre of people on water fluorosis problem. The post-test mean knowledge score regarding water fluorosis problem are higher than the pre-test mean knowledge score. The demographic variables age, gender, religion, family type and family income and knowledge of fluorosis problem and family history last 6 month of fluorosis problem information and sources of information.
