Drug Induced Hepatotoxicity

Abstract

Short-Couse Chemotherapy containing rifampicin and isoniazid in combination and various other drugs has proved to be highly effective in the treatment of tuberculosis, but one of its adverse effects is hepatotoxicity. Various rist factors have been associated with drug-induced hepatotoxicity. The study aimed to determine the prevalence of drug-induced hepatitis and risk factors associated with the drug-induced Liver injury among the patients of pulmonary tuberculosis in Indian patients.
