The present study was conducted to compare academic stress among 1year B. Sc. nursing and I year B. Ed. students in Rudrapur district. The study compared the academic stress and examined the association between the academic stress with selected demographic variables.
Quantitative approach was used for study and non experimental descriptive comparative research design was selected. Fifty samples were selected by using non probability purposive sampling technique for the study. In that 25 samples from 1year B. Sc. nursing and 25 samples from 1year B. Ed. were selected. The data was collected by using structured questionnaire to assess socio demographic data and modified academic stress scale was used to assess the academic stress.
The result reveled that I year B. Sc nursing students having more academic stress than 1 year B. Ed. students (t (48)=2.09, p<0.05). There is a significant association between academic stress and age and there is no significant association between research variables and other selected demographic variables.
Academic stress
