Watermelon Stomach

Abstract

Mrs. Shanthamani, 49years who admitted in a private hospital with joint pain, swelling, increased body pain, extreme tiredness and skin thickening. She is a known case of Raynaud's phenomenon and digital ulcers. She was treated by steroids in previous hospitalization. On the day of admission, she was conscious and oriented. Her BP was 90/60 mm of Hg. On examination, she had facial skin thickening, tender joints and pitting scars. Investigations reveals that increased serum calcium, reduced hemoglobin and vitamin. D ECHO reveals sclerotic aortic valve with trivial AR, mild PAH. She was treated by corticosteroids.
