Complimentary medicine in medical treatment that is note part of the usual scientific treatment used in western countries for example acupuncture. A wide range of or in addition to ordinary medicine.

A quantitative approach using Survey research design.

300 selected hypertensive patients were selected using Non-Probability Convenient sampling technique in Mehsana city.

Self- Structured Knowledge Questionnaire and attitude rating scale (likert scale).

The data obtained were analyzed and interpreted in the light of objective using descriptive and inferential statistics.26.33% of sample had poor knowledge score (0-6), 60.33% of them had average knowledge score (713) and 13.33% of them had good knowledge score (14-20) regarding selected complimentary therapies. 22% of patients have negative attitude while 78% have positive attitude towards complimentary therapies. The correlation coefficient was done to assess relation between knowledge and attitude. The result was 0.60. It shows there was moderate relation between knowledge and attitude regarding selected complimentary therapies. Chi-square test used to associate the level of knowledge and attitude with selected demographic variable at 0.05 level of significant.

The findings of the study revealed that sample have average knowledge about selected complimentary therapies. The findings of study indicate that there was moderate relation between knowledge and attitude regarding selected complimentary therapies.
