Abstract

An investigation was taken up on 8 years old seedlings trees of jackfruit, to know the effect of different in-situ moisture conservation techniques on fruit production and quality improvement with economic return. Results indicated that rainwater harvesting by circular trench along with basin mulching with back polythene resulted in maximum fruit production with better fruit quality. Highest net profit (36, 615 ha−1) with BCR (1.67) was estimated from the tree with circular trench along with black polythene mulching
