The aim of the present study is to assess the prevalence of Anxiety among Iranian patients with Type 2 Diabetes. The research sample consisted of 482 patients with type 2 diabetes from Iranian Diabetes Society (IDS) and diabetes clinic in Imam Khomeini hospital of Tehran city (Iran). Patients were screened for Anxiety using the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) designed by Zung (1971). Results revealed that anxiety was diagnosed in 42.12% of patients who participated in this research and there is no significant difference between male and female in anxiety scores but regarding age groups there is significant differences between three age groups in anxiety scores. Further, it was observed that patients with age group of 55–64 years, had least anxiety than patients in other age groups.
