This paper is a study of various translation theories, myths and how translation has evolved over the decades. The primary focus of this paper is to demonstrate how the concept of translation has continuously changed over the years and how the importance of translation has not diminished but has only increased due to global demands. So in this generation of globalization the translation goes indepth into the concept of localization and that makes the researchers wonder if translation means what it meant four decades ago. The study suggests that the changes occurring in the transformation of the concept ‘Translation’ has a long way to go and researchers are still working on globally accepted symbols and signs to reduce the complexity of translation.
