Societies have moved from traditional state to industrial, to postindustrial, and ûnally, to electronic information state. Obviously, service provision in different areas have been affected by changes occurred due to these movements. The present research was undertaken to evaluate the quality of services in the central library of the scientific and research institutes in Iran from users’ point of view. A comparison was made between the speciûcaitons of this library against the available standards for special libraries. Then, using the ServQual questionnaire, quality of services of the library was investigated in faculty and research scholar and expert. Results of the study factors were identiûed as important and effective in service quality.
