The aim of this study is to find out remedies for mental illness in the Tamil traditional medicine, Siddha. The siddhars of Tamil Nadu wrote several medicinal books in the form of palm leaves. They are experts in Siddha medicine. Among their writings, a study was conducted whether Siddha medicine has medicines for mental illness. This study concluded that Siddha medicine has remedies for mental illness.
