The research drawn from such an observation that absence of male members from family or migration of the male members change life situation of women left behind, and that change could be potential for empowerment. To examine the impact, a micro level analysis is important as it can bring comprehensible ideas on it. On this aspect the study analyses the impact of male migration on women's autonomy and decision making power. The findings of the study convince the fact that the absence of male member from home provides conditions for fostering women autonomy, self esteem and role of expansion.
