Vision and Mission of Indian Education according to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalamji

Abstract

The recent study is related to the education system in India. It is based on the vision and mission for Indian education as formulated by Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam. In his view, education is the primary driving force of personal growth for an individual. The concept of curriculum in kalam‘s view includes nano-science, biotechnology, and development of creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and management skills among students other than the regular subjects of study. India is now on the threshold of a creative knowledge Grid across the country for dissemination, virtual universities and institution with technologies of the future. As a practical educational thinker, Kalam proposed the framework for the future education in the country by converging science and technology with spirituality. Today education system is challenging. But Dr. Kalam‘s vision and mission for the field of education could provide a solution for the removal of illiteracy in rural and urban India, upgrading education to enhance social and economic progress in our country.
