The purpose of the study is to analyse the relationship between Burnout and Job Stress among the selected secondary school teachers of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) in Karnataka, which includes male and female teachers belonging to the faculty namely physical education, arts, commerce, science, music, art and library science. They were administered checklist developed by Maslach Burnout Inventory, which measures Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization and Personal Accomplishments of teacher and Job Stress by Dr. Meena Buddhisagar Rathod and Dr. Madhulika Varma which identifies different stress causing factors for teachers related with working situation of the school. The present scale consisting six parts, they are: Overloadedness (A), Role Conflict (B), Powerlessness (C), Role Ambiguity (D), Motivelessness (E) and Frail Interpersonal Relationship (F).
The data were subjected to Pearson‘s Product Moment Correlation technique to find out the relationship between various factors of Burnout and Job Stress.
