Effects of Emotional Intelligence and Adjustment on Academic Achievements of Secondary School Students of Hassan district

The major purpose of this research was to investigate the Effects of emotional intelligence and adjustment on academic achievements of secondary school students. This study was Descriptive survey method is adapted for the study, 100 secondary school students are selected from Hassan district. The following tools were used to collect the essential data Emotional Intelligence Scale developed by Anukool Hyde and Sanjyot Pethe (2001), Adjustment Scale has been designed for use with Hindi knowing college students of India. From the present study the investigator concludes that there are no significant change in respect of Adjustment and Emotional Intelligence of Boys and Girls. Boys have more Adjustment und Emotional Intelligence than the Girls. Boys and Girls do not differ significantly in respect of their Adjustment. Boys have more Academic Adjustment than the Girls.
