Reproductive Health Policies in Hoskote Taluk of Bangalore Rural

Hoskote is one of the rural taluk of Bangalore district. This paper consists of a detailed information about the awareness and adoption of reproductive health policies of the government among pregnant women. The important policies from the government are with respect to Medical Termination of Pregnancy, Pre-Natal Diagnostic Treatment, provision of ration to the pregnant and lactating mothers, family planning techniques, etc. It was noted that women in the rural areas are aware of many of the policies and thanks to the effort made by anganwadi workers and Accredited Social health Activists (ASHA). Primary Health Centre‘s (PHC) are also helping the pregnant and lactating mothers to a great extent.
