Abstract
In the field experiments on sunflower (Hetianthus annuus L.) during rabi season of 1972–73 and 1973–74 highest yields were recorded when weedfree condition was maintained for the first 60 days after sowing. Keeping plots free of weeds longer than this period did not bring any beneficial effect.
