Abstract

An experiment was conducted in 1975–76 at Nanta Farm, Kota to determine the most suitable season for spraying dalapon and aminotriazole for control of Typha angustata. Herbicidal activity, their mode of action along with the physio-logy of the plants at different giowth stages in different seasons have been correlated. The spray of dalapon in July and that of aminotriazole in September-January proved best, specially at the vegetative stage of plants. After these sprays, the population was negligible through out the year.
