Studies on crop weed competition in inung were conducted during khari, from 1979–80 to 1982–83 on medium black soils of Junagadh. Weedings done once at 15, 30 or 45 days after sowing (DAS), twice at 15 and 30 DAS twice at 15, 30 and 45 DAS. after sowing revealed that maximum crop weed competition. The results showed that the most critical period competition in mungbean crop was during the 30 days. Weed control during this period effected greater weed control efficacy and higher grain yield as also higher net monetary return.
