Translocation of Foliar Applied 2,4-D as Affected by Additives and pH in Sotanum doegnifolium Cav.*

Methylene-labelled 2,4-D was fed to a single leaf and 24 hr after treatment the activity was traced in different plant organs. Lowering the pH, addition of Triton an anionic phosphate surfactant and sucrose to the spray solution enhanced the rate of entry and the amount of 2,4-D translocated to the under ground parts.
