Abstract

Efficacy of isoproturon applied at different times in wheat was studied at Haryana Agricultural University, Hissar during 19S4 and 1985. All the weeds were more susceptible to early post-emergence (20 to 30 days) applicaiion of isoproturon than its application between 35 to 50 day after sowing. Number of panicles per metre row length of wheat were less when isporoturon was applied at 20 and 25 days after sowing but did not reduce the yield significantly. Application of isoproturon beyond 40 days of sowing reduced the growth and grain yield of wheat significanfly.
