Abstract

In the taxo-ecological studies on the weeds associated with 9 important vegetable crops grown at the Horticulture farm at the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Ramptir Chitwan during the period of Jan-Feb, 1988, 51 weed species were recorded. Based on the higher SDR value, Gnaphalium purpureum L. (289.41), Digitaria adscendens (H.B.K.) Henr. (126.89), Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers. (98.96), Oxalis corniculata L. (46.99) and Chenopodium album L. (42.34) were the five most dominant weeds of the crops surveyed.
