Central Potato Research Station, Shiilong-793 009 (Meghalaya)
The highest weed control efficiency was recorded with metribuzin (93%) followed by methabenzthiazuron (91%) and lowest with oxyfluorfen (80%). Tuber yield increased siginificantly under all the weed control treatments over weedy check. Increase in herbicide dose adversely affected the tuber yield in the case of oxyfluorfen. Metribuzin was found to be safer herbicide at higher doses too.
