Abstract

An experiment on the e feet of crop weed competition on weed spectrum and nutrients jptake by weeds in brinjal (Solaum melongena L.) was carried ou t at the Research farm and laboratories of Vegetable Crps, Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. The total weed int ens ity was more under weedy check which was significantly high er than other treatments. Trianthema rronogyna was the main spp soon after transplanting in Rainy season and as the season cool ed chenopodium album took over.

Maximum uptake of nuti rfen ts by weeds at harvest was in weedy check during both t he years which decreased with the increase in weed free condi tions.
