Abstract

Post-emergence isoproturon + surfactant at 0.75 + 0.1%, metoxuron alone at 1.6 and Isoproturon alone at 1.0 kg/ha and pre-plant triallate at 2.0 kg/ha provided good control of A. Ludoviciana and C. Album, thus reducing their density and dry weight significantly. Diclofop controlled wild oats but no_t lambsquarter. Pendimethalin controlled lambsquarter but wild oats was not controlled.

Pre-plant incorporation of triallate at 2.0 kg and postemergence diclofop at 1. 0 kg/ha in both the seasons and metoxuron alone at 1.6 and Isoproturon + surfactant at 0.75 + 0.1% as post-emergence in the first season produced wheat yield statistically on par as that obtained under season long weed free conditions.
