Field experiments were carried out to study the relative performance of different herbicides for weed control in groundnut. Imazethapyr 0.1 kg, pendimethalin 1,0 ka, Oxyfluorfen 0.15 kg and fiuchloralin 1.0 kg per hectare were tested. Pre-emergence application of imazethapyr 0.1 kg/ha was the best and recorded 124 per cent higher pod yield over unweeded control.
