Abstract

Laboratory experiments were conducted in the Department of Agronomy, Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palamp'ur during 1987–1988. In the soil collected from pot experiment all the oilseed crops were found sensitive to the residues of 2,4-D ester (1.0 kg/ha), common salt (20% solution) and dalapon fellowed by 2,4-D Na Salt (4.8 kg-f-1.5 kg/ha). However, sunflower germination and plant height were not significantly influenced by the residues of common salt. In the soil collected from field experiments, plant height of rays was significantly lowest in the oxadiazon (at both the concentrations) treated soil. In addition to this, diuron (1.50 kg/ha) significantly affected the percent germination and plant height of linseed and plant height of raya and sunflower, respectively.
