Abstract

Pre plant application of fluchloralin 1.0 kg/ha gave best performance and was comparable with one hand weed'ng at 30 days after sowing in respect of linseed grain yield. The next best herbicides were trifluralin 1.0 kg/ha and terbutryn 0.75 kg/ha pre-em. Phytotoxic effect on germination and crop yield was observed in case of metribuzin 025 kg/ha and oxadiazon !.0 kg/ha pre-em. Paspahim spp., Digitaria sanguinalh, Phalaris minor and Portulaci oleracea were the major problamatic weeds and uncontrolled weeds caused 37.9 Percent yield reduction in linseed.
