Abstract

Population of broad leaf weeds at 60 das (days after sowing) and at harvest decreased with the corresponding increase in nitrogen rates. Isoproturon 1.0 kg/ha+2,4-D 0.5 kg/ha was most effective against weeds but reduced the grain yield of wheat. Isoproturon and surfactant when mixed improved the control of wild oats. The plots treated with isoproturan+ Surfactant (0.75 kg/ha+0.1%) yielded 3937 kg/ha as campared to 3869 kg/ha where isoproturon was applied alone at 1.0 kg/ha.
