Abstract

All the weeds were effectively controlled with the use of herbicides excepting Potamogeton distinctus, Marsilea quadrifolia, Scr ‘pusjuncoides Rotala indica. Higher average seed output was recorded with Echinochloa crusgalli Hand weeding proved most efficient in minimizing the weeds drymatter and increased we:d control efficiency. Application of different formulations of butachlor significantly reduced the drymatter of weeds compared to control at all the locations, but differences were at par amongst different formulations. All the herbicidal and hand weeding treatments significantly recorded highest grain yield compared to wetdy check.
