Abstract

Two adjuvants, Triton II XE and urea, were tank mixed with four herbicides viz., methabe-n?thiazuron 1 0 and 1.5 kg/ha, terbutryne 0.50 and 0.75 kg/ha, metoxuron 1.0 and 1.75 kg/ha and isoproturonO 50 ar.d 0.75 kg/ha and applied to canary grass in. wheat. Metoxuron reduced density of canary grass by an average of 93% over a 2-year period. Tank mixing of Triton II XE at 0.5% v/v to ether of herbicides viz. metoxuron 1.0 kg/ha, terbutryne 0 5 kg/ha isoproturon 0.5 kg/ha and rethabenzthiazuron 1.0 kg/ha significantly reduced density and growth of little seed canary grass in wheat.
