Studies on time of weed removal in maize + horsegram intercropping system
Abstract
Field exper iment Was conducted at Regional Research Station, Bajaura (H.P.) during Kharif1986 and 1987 on crop-weed competition studies in maize+horsegram intercropping system, The results indicated that cne hand hoeing with in 5 weeks after sowing is essential td get optimum yield. Weeding done beyond this period reduced maize and maize equivalent yield by 21.6 and 15.0 per ctent respectively.
