Parthenium hysierophaons L. is a hazardous Weetf of many parts of the world. It cause various allergies like contact dermatitis or eczema, hay fever, asthma and bronchitis. This weed* entered India about three decades ago and has now spread throughout the couatry. Its spread and: distribution in India and abroad have been- discussed.
