Effectiveness of fluroxypyr was evaluated for weed control in wheat at Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar during 1987-88 and 1988-89. Fluroxypyr checked common lambsquarters but grassy weeds were unaffected. Isoproturon 1.0+2,4-D 0.50 kg/ha controlled wild oats, wild canary grass and common lambsquarters. 2,4-D+fluroxypyr at all doses was as effective as their individual applications. 2.4-D+ fluroxypyr treated plots recorded less total dry weight of weeds as compared to fluroxypyr applied alone at 0.20 or 0.25 kg/ha. Fluroxypyr applied alone at 0.25 kg/ha provided similar grain yield of wheat as that of 2,4-D alone at 0.50 kg/ha.
