Field experiments conducted at Konkah Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli (Maharashtra) during 1985, 1986 and 1987 revealed that use of butachloi’ 2kg./ha supplimented with one manual weeding at 30 das controlled the weeds in kharif groundnut effectively (with 84,3% WOE) and enhanced the dry pod yield of groundnut by 6.8 and 164% recording an additional profit of Rs. 280/- and Rs. 3464.50 over manual weeding and unweeded control, respectively.
