Highest weed population (83 and 94/m2) and dry matter accumulation (185 and 205 g/m2) were recorded under weedycheck, where as, the lowest weed population and dry matter were found under four hand weedings. All weed control treatments recorded higher bulb yields than weedy check in both the years. Weed free check (five weedings) gave the maximum bulb yield and was found to be significantly superior to weedy check, fluchloralin 1.0 kg/ha, and pendimethalin 1.0 kg/ha. Among the herbicides, oxyfluorfen (Goal) gave the maximum bulb yield. Higher weed control efficency was also recorded with Oxyfluorfen 0250 kg/ha. All other herbicidal treatments were found. to be at par.
