Groundnut (Cv. MH-2) seeds were planted in earthen pots filled with FYM (6:1). The lower concentrations of chemicals increased root and shoot lengths and nodule number after 45 days. Both herbicides (Pendimethalin & fluchloralin) decreased leghaemoglobin content of nodules. Chlorophyll increased in the beginning but decreased later on, while carotenoids increased at later stages of growth in comparison to control. Fluchloralin 1.0 kg increase the number of pods and yield per plant, while pendimethalin decreased them.
