Contribution of the All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Groundnut, Dharward Centre (Karnataka).
An investigation to study the efficacy of different weed control methods were carried out in groundnut on Vertisols at Main Research Station. Dharwad during kharif 1984, 1985 and 1986. Mean data over three years indicates fluchloralin 1 kg/ha +3 hoeings was found to be most effective in control of weeds and recorded higher yield over other treatments except weed free treatment. Dry weight of weeds was low in hand weeding, fluchloralin and fluchloralin+inter cultivation during all the three years as compared to fluazifop-p-butyl.
