Uncontrolled growth of weeds reduced the curd yield of cauliflower significantly but its most critical stage of crop-weed competition was up to 50 d.a.t. Pre-plant incorporation of fluchloralin 1.0–1.5 kg/ha fb handweeding 45 d.a.t. provided completely weed free environment and maximum curd yield. Preemergent pendimethalin and oxyfluorfen were also comparable but economic analysis (B:C) over handweeding revealed that most ecnomic and feasible method of controlling weeds in cauliflower were fluchloralin 1.0 kg/ha (ppi) and oxyfluorfen 0.1 kg/ha (pre-em).
