Field investigation conducted at the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur, M.P. under rainfed conditions revealed that hand weeding twice (30 & 50 days after sowing), application of butachlor 1.5 kg/ha (pre-em) and f1uchloralin 0.8 kg/ha (ppi) supplimented with one weeding (30 d.a.s.) were effective in controlling weeds and enhancing soybean yield. Maximum net profit of Rs. 5.92 per rupee investment was obtained in case of mechanical weeding closely followed by fluchloralin 0.8. kg/ha.
