Contribution from Regional Reieareh Station, H.P. Krishi Vishavidalaya Bajaura - 17S 125 (H.P.)
Experiments conducted for three seasons (1987–88 to 1989–90) at Regional Research Station, Bajaura (Kullu Valley) showed that weeds caused a reduction of 63.3 per cent in yield of pea. Application of pendimethalin 1 0 kg/ha, fluchloralin 1.0 kg/ha, benthiocarb 1.5 kg/ha alaehlor 1.5 kg/ha and oxadiazon 0.5 kg/ha, were found as effective as hand weeding in controlling weeds and increasing the yield over other treatments. Oxadiazon 0.75 kg/ha and alachlor 2.0 kg/ha bad phytotoxic effects on peas.
