Abstract

A field study carried out in a sandy loam soil at field unit AICRP on Soybean, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangaiore during Kharif 1990, sbowed that, among the herbicidal treatments maximum uptake of nutrients by soybean crop was in row spacing of 22.S cm with alachlor 1 kg/ha folJowed by alachlor 2 kg/ha and metolacblor 1 kg/ha. The maximum net returns was obtained in rows spacing af 22.5 cm with aJachlor at 1 kg/ha and maximum benefit cost ratio was obtained in alternate rows of maize, sorghum and soybean.
