Abstract

Isoproturon alone was not effective against wild pea and common vetah, Isoproturon + surfactant (Selvet 0.1%) was most effective aginst winter wild oats and other weeds. In the field dominated by broadleaf weeds, gntin yield of wheat were similar in all the herbicide treatments involving 2, 4-D, fluroxypyr, methabenzthiazuron and isoproturon. In the dominated by grass weeds, combination of Isoproturon and 2, 4-D at 0.75 kg/ha increased the grain yield of wheat over fluroxypyr or 2, 4-D applied alone.
