Number of filled pods had the highest positive correlation with seed yield (0.8331) followed by total crop biomass (0.8233) and LAI (0.5878). The linear lncrease in yield was predicted with crop biomass, LAI, branches per plant, number of filled pods per plant, whole plant weight and seed weight per plant. Tolal weed dry weight had significantly negative correlation (−0.7530) with the yield and linearly decreased with increased weed dry weight. The reduction could be predicted by 0.1319 kg/ha with increase of one kg weed dry weight/ha. Amongst weed species, the highest negative correlation was noted with Commelina benghalensis (−0.7451) followed by Euphorbia geniculata (−0.7005), Echinochloa crusgalli (−0.6399) Justicia diffusa (−0.6336) and Psoralea cory lifolia (0.5295).
