Abstract

A field experiment conducted at Rajendra Agricultural University Dholi Muzaffarpur showed that rice grain yield increased significantly with increasing fertility levels. Hand weeding gave higher grain yield, but was staistically at par with the hericides tried. The interaction of fertility levels and weed control showed that lower fertility levels with effective control of weeds Yielded as much as with highest fertility levels without the control of weeds. Moderate fertility level with weed control was significantly superior to highest fertility level without weed control.
