Abstract

Glyphosate (1.2–1.6 kg/ha) proved effective herbicide to kill all plant parts of Saccharum spontaneum L. and effective tool under stale-seed bed technique in soybean-wheat sequence. No regeneration took place even after one year of application of this herbicide. Highest net profit of Rs. 17021 ha was obtained by use of glyphosate. Haloxyfop methyl and Fluzifop-pbutyl could be used for controlling. S. spontaneum in standing soybean crop.
