Abstract

Field experiments conducted at Rice Research Station, Malan of Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur, during rahi seasons of 1992–93, 1993–94 and 1994–95 revealed that two hand weedings (25 and 45 DAS) and Post-emergence application (35 DAS) of isoproturon+2, 4-D 1.0+0.5 kg/ha, respectively, in combination were found effective in reducing weed biomass as compared to other treatments. Combination of isoproturon and 2, 4-D at 1.0 and 0.5 kg/ha produced significantly higher yield and yield contributing characters as compared to other treatment. 2, 4-D at 1.0 kg/ha either alone or in combination with isoproturon was found to have phytotoxic effect on linseed.
