Two years field study was conducted at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi during 1991–92 and 1992–93. Hebicidal efficiency of atrazine was assessed. The data revealed that pre-emergence application of atrazine (0.75 kg/ha) followed by post-emergence spray at knee high and at tasselling stages (0.25 kg/ha) effectively controlled the weeds and resulted in 70% increase in winter maize yield than weedy check.
