An experiment was conducted in the years 1989 and 1990 with three fertility levels, four weed control methods and three row spacings to Jute (JRC 212). The result revealed that weed persistence index was found to be maximum with 150% dose, unweeded control and wider row spacing to Jute crop. The crop resistance index was maximum with 150% dose, weed free practice and closer row spacing. The pest management index was maximum with 50% dose, farmers' practice of weed control and closer row spacing. The agronomic management index was maximum with 150%dose, farmers' practice of weed control and optimum row spacing. Integrated pest management (index) was maximum with 50% dose, farmers' practice and optimum row spacing.
