Weed Infestation in Different Cropping Systems of Eastern Uttar Pradesh

Abstract

All the districts, under the jurisdiction area of Faizabad Agriculture University, were surveyed to record the population of different weed flora in different crops during rainy (kharif) and winter (rabi) seasons. Fimbristylis dichotoma, Cyperus iria, Echinochloa colonum and Phyllanthus niruri were dominant weeds during kharif season. During rabi season, Vicia hirsllta, Cyperus rotundus, Anagallis arvensis, Chenopodium album, Melilotus indica, Phalaris minor, Polygonum plebejum and Launea asplenifolia were dominant weeds in different crops.
